Project Overview: Block Slab
Block Slab is a typeface based off of Futura and hip-hop. For this project, I was tasked with creating a new typeface based off of the elements of a music genre and an already existing font family. After studying the histories and visual characteristics of Futura and hip-hop, I explored different graphic options that incorporated both of the styles to create Block Slab.

Project Overview: The Corner
After completing the Block Slab project, I was then tasked with creating branding utilizing my new font. The branding would be for a cafe that hosted events for rappers to perform at.
I applied the branding I made to common things you would see at a coffee spot in order to show off what Block Slab looks like in action.
